Let's Begin With a Trump Rant...Why Not?

Can those of usbwho identify as "Middle-Class try agreeing on one thing? Both sides are working all of us from the exact same playbook. 95% of all the distracting nonsense emanating from both extremes of the political spectrum, and all place in between, is just that, distracting nonsense. Listen, I'll be the first person to applaud (with a VERY slow clap) our elected 'representatives' for working across the isle to get something done. But I've grown so pessimistic about the entire institute and how greed and corruption permeate every square inch of DC, even obscure hints of bipartisan anything stinks of staging and role-playing.

In no universe should elected office be a lifetime career, nor a path to a perpetually increasing net-worth or lifestyle. That is absolutely contrary to how true governmental representation should work, and is eroding away the fabric of our nation from the inside out! I've heard these elected officials, Democrat, Republican, Green Party, Tea Party, whatever, all wilfully, intentionally, and repeatedly tell bold faced lies, over and over as if repetition somehow leads to a truth. They call it "spin", “alternative facts", or simply blame the other side. They all lie, every single one without exception.I've heard these elected officials, Democrat, Republican, Green Party, Tea Party, whatever, all wilfully, intentionally, and repeatedly tell bold faced lies, over and over as if repetition somehow leads to a truth. Every single member of Congress has been involved in collusion in some form or another, and as we all should understand, that act in and of itself has no legal basis. What's important and in many ways the most frustrating point, is who they are colluding with, the magnitude of effort in order to obfuscate it, and to what ends they seek by doing so. I'm not jumping on Trump here, I'm talking about members of Congress showing their voting public one face, a very rigid and immovable posture hell bent on either jamming through garbage legislation or obstructing any at all. But then after the cameras and reporters have been shewed from the room, showing their true colors and engaging in nothing short of good old fashioned cronyism.

I'd be content with this stage production, but only if I wasn't to the detriment of our country and citizens, en masse. The party leadership orchestrate one drama-ridden, high anxiety, self inflicted crisis after another, and the members play act their roles as directed and as expected. Sadly, the American public not only tolerates this, but we almost demand it, like some sort of 'Housewives' reality show which will suffer from a reduction in ratings if they even take their feet off the accelerator for a moment. People, the subject matter surrounding the politics and everyday business of running the Federal Government should be nothing short of obnoxiously dry and boring monotony. I swear to you, there is absolutely no reason for the US Federal Government to manufacture any level of drama or excitement enabling the likes of CNN, FoxNews, and whoever else to showcase their "BREAKING NEWS!!“ banners in near perpetuity. The average citizen should not have heard the terms "debt ceiling" or "continuing resolution", that's why we pay them, to go and deal with these details, not drum up drama every single day!

So here we are, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all, and playing right into the corrupt hands of our own corrupt elected 'representatives', and perpetuating the system most of us rail against.

One of the unique core issues at hand, as I understand it, is that at some point in our recent history, a specific role which has historically been that for the US citizenry to play, and the associated counter-role those elected had played, invariably flipped 180°. We, as a people somehow forfeited our civic responsibilities to communicate to those we elected, how we wish to be represented and the posture which should be taken regarding certain issues.

In contrast, now we are dictated and informed what values a certain party represents and the party platform, and see more often than not, citizens adopting, modifying, and adjusting their political opinions (beliefs & values) so to better align with those of the party they have chosen. And all too often it's an "All or Nothing" game, you're either 100% Party A, or your obviously Party B and hate our country. This will not likely sit well with many people, but if you take out the emotion and ego from your analysis, and take a true and honest look at how we as a people decide what we believe in, I believe it will be pretty clear.

Finally we need to remember that slinging mud, name calling, and character assassinations, do nothing but feed directly into the hands of those outside our borders who do NOT have our country's best interests in mind. Irrespective of anyone colluding with anyone else, the fact remains that Russia has been interfering in and trying to influence the US Political narrative for decades, and for a country with a total national GDP equal only to that of New York state, have sadly done a damned good job at it.

Americans bickering with Americans is music to their ears, and I don't think anyone here will argue that this good for anyone but them. Don't let them tear our country apart with petty nonsense, be good to and respect your fellow countrymen, even if you think they are completely nuts for believing what they do.

Remember, we know of just 15, but there were likely many more political demonstrations that keyed into both extremes of US politics, that were 100%, without a doubt, originated, almost entirely coordinated, and perpetrated not by passionate Americans, but by malicious Russian trolls being directed and funded by their Intelligence services. We're turning into our own worst enemy, and Putin is laughing all the way to the bank.
